Health Benefits
The District pays up to 80% of dependent coverage costs for employees enrolled in a qualifying High Deductible Health Plan and 75% for employees enrolled in other medical plans. In addition, employees participating in a qualifying High Deductible Health Plan receive employer-funded Health Saving Account (HSA) contributions of up to $1,800 annually for employee-only coverage or $3,600 annually for employee plus one or family coverage, helping reduce out-of-pocket healthcare expenses and build tax-advantaged savings for future medical needs.
DENTAL
The District is self-insured for Dental Coverage and partners with Stanislaus Medical Foundation to create employee coverage.

Retirement
ALL EMPLOYEES
CalPERS 2% @ 62 plan. Employees contribute 6.750% of their salary or wage, and the employer contributes 7.732%. Qualifying “classic” members are eligible for the 2.5% @ 55 plan. Participation is immediate upon hire. Sick leave can be accrued and used for various purposes upon retirement.MANAGEMENT
The District covers both, employer and employee, contributions for classic members.
UNION
For “classic” members, the District covers half of the required 8% employee contribution.

The District offers matching contributions up to a maximum of $4,500 annually.

Administrative Leave: Exempt (salaried) employees receive 40 hours administrative leave per year. This leave does not “roll over.”

Employees in certain job classifications accrue an additional two days of vacation each continuous month worked during the irrigation season. Vacation may be scheduled after six months of employment.

The District observes ten holidays each year. Additionally, each employee receives two floating holidays annually.

Additional Benefits
Sick Leave
Sick leave is accrued at the rate of eight hours per month. Sick leave may be used after 90 days of employment.
Examinations and Continuing Education
The District will reimburse the cost of required job-related education.
Uniforms
The District provides an allowance of up to $300 annually for the purchase of work boots and up to $250 annually for the purchase of work pants in accordance with the negotiated timeframe.
