Vehicle Wrap Art Contest

South San Joaquin Irrigation District sponsors a student art contest as a way to educate students about the SSJID and the importance of water in our community.  The winning artwork will be featured as vehicle wraps on the tailgates of irrigation service trucks.

Artwork Requirements

Artwork must be original and the work of one artist only.  Artwork must relate to the theme “Watering the Roots of Our Community” and must include the theme words.

Eligibility

The contest was open to students in the first (1st) grade through the fifth (5th) grade enrolled in Manteca Unified School District, Ripon Unified School District, and Escalon Unified School District.

Selection Process

A panel of judges selected the winning entries from the artwork submitted.

Prizes/Recognition

SSJID considers each child who enters the contest to be a winner.  One Grand Prize Winner was chosen from all of the entries and they will have their artwork placed on the tailgates of SSJID’s irrigation water delivery trucks through October, 2024.  The Grade Prize Winner received a gift card for $100.

Six (6) prize winners also recieved the following:

  • 1st through 3rd grades:
    • 1st Place – $75 gift card
    • 2nd Place – $50 gift card
    • 3rd Place – $25 gift card
  • 4th and 5th grades:
    • 1st Place – $75 gift card
    • 2nd Place – $50 gift card
    • 3rd Place – $25 gift card
